At Ama-no-Iwato Shrine, which is home to the giant trees of the Takachiho region and is the birthplace of the heavenly grandson, we listened to a talk about history and mythology from the chief priest, then went up to the main hall to make a formal offering of prayer.

After experiencing the purification and calming spirit at the prestigious Ama-no-Iwato Shrine, it was time for lunch.
Lunch featuring local highland vegetables and rare Takachiho beef will be served at a restaurant where you can enjoy creative cuisine while looking out over the idyllic rice terraces.

In the afternoon, you will visit Shimotsuke Hachiman Shrine, one of Japan's most powerful shrines, to collect sacred water from the spring within its grounds. Using this sacred water, you will then take part in a "Kamairicha (pan-fried tea) tasting" experience, sampling six types of tea made by Kaiseichaen, a special tea plantation that has received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award multiple times.
Find your favorite tea and try your hand at blending tea.
You can take home the finished blended tea as a souvenir. Enjoy a one-of-a-kind tea experience using spring water from a power spot.
